Today is World Vegetarian Day
and the kick-off to Vegetarian Awareness Month!! It’s a world recognised celebration of joy and compassion and a great reason to get the veggie word out there; sharing the ethical, environmental, health and humanitarian benefits of vegetarianism with everyone!!
Being veggie is such a positive state-of-mind; it’s about showing compassion for all life, being aware and actively making a choice that not only benefits your body, mind and soul but also the lives of all creatures.
Vegetarianism is good for your health with a diet considerably lower in saturated fat, higher in a variety of nutrient rich foods and avoiding potential nasty hormones and additives found in meat products.
And, well, veggie food is simply awesome!! All the meat lovers out there, you don’t know what your missing :)
So why not join the celebration of all things veggie and get on board!
Whether your vegan, vegetarian, flexi-vegetarian or omnivore make a day or night of it and invite your friends and family round for a veggie feast to sample new and delicious foods and show-case just how awesome vegetarian food can be.
